Club Registration Information

Club registration fees are required to be paid at the beginning of each season. Compared to other clubs in the region our club registration fees are very affordable. Your club registration goes towards team entries into the Geelong United Basketball competition, uniform purchasing, training venue hire and club administration fees.

Non-playing members are also welcome.

Club Registration fees

Playing junior: $40 per season

Senior Players: $45 per season

Non – playing Adult: $20

Player fees will be collected electronically at the beginning of each season via PlayHQ.

Training

Our training predominantly takes place at The Geelong Arena in North Geelong across two afternoons at 4pm - 4:45pm on a Monday or Tuesday. Some teams train at The Geelong Sports Hub or Western Heights College on a Sunday.

Uniforms

Uniforms remain the property of Vytis Knights Basketball Club. Senior players (18 years and over) are required to pay a $100 deposit bond on their uniform prior to it being issued. Deposit bonds will be held by the club. If the player leaves the club and the uniform is returned in a reasonable condition, the player will receive their deposit bond back in full. Unlike other clubs in the region we do not require you to purchase uniforms outright, a huge cost saving when deciding on a club to join and also helpful as children grow. Junior players do not have to pay a bond, however if unable to return the uniform in a good condition when leaving the club an $80 replacement fee may be charged.

We have an expectation that players representing the club are dressed appropriately to ensure we maintain our club image, club branded merchandise is available for purchase in our Knights Store.

Communication

  • All players are encouraged to follow our Facebook and Instagram accounts to keep up to date with club news. A team representative or coach will add players to their team group communications. Players should ensure they respond when requested or contact their team rep with queries.

  • We will email from time to time with club updates and event details.

Player Conduct

We have expectations that players and coaches representing Vytis Knights will follow the guidelines as set out by Basketball Victoria and Geelong United Basketball regarding conduct and behaviour. If any club member is in breach of these guidelines, the matter will be taken up by the committee. The committee reserves the right to exclude players and coaches from games, or club membership, if regular patterns of poor behaviour occur. Please ensure that coaches, players, parents and spectators are familiar with these codes of conduct.
